Hello and welcome to Heart in Hand Therapy! 

 

My name is Suzanne and I am proud to be both a Registered Professional Nurse and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist actively working in the health field for the past 20 + years.

My experience in both nursing and counseling has informed my framework as a holistic mental health provider.
 

Over the years, I have had the pleasure of working at a variety of milieus including outpatient community clinics, inpatient psychiatry units and private practices located in both central NY and Manhattan.

My primary areas of expertise are helping folks work through relationship difficulties, navigate life cycle transitions, as well as eating disorder and intimacy disorder (e.g. love addiction) recovery.

 

I work collaboratively with my clients utilizing somatic therapy techniques and Narrative Therapy as my foundation while also interweaving from the models of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Attachment Theory, and the Gottman Method.

While not formally 'certified' as a Jungian Psychoanalyst, I am personally invested in and actively participate in trainings/ continued education in this therapeutic module as well.  I utilize Jungian theory most frequently with dream analysis and archetype integration.
